South Jaco refers to the southern end of Jaco Beach, toward the rocky point that separates it from the coast heading to Playa Hermosa.

Overview

It's part of the same long beach break as Jaco Beach, but sandbanks, the nearby point and exposure to swell can make it behave differently from the middle of the beach. Local surfers often check both before paddling out.
